P.S: I am a Professionally Accredited Life & Leadership Executive Coach by the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching, as well as a Professionally Certified Coach by the International Coaching Federation. I am a Certified Energy Leadership Master Practitioner and Certified C.ORE Leadership & Transitions Specialist. I’ve completed rigorous field training and have coached hundreds of clients.Â
All of these experiences have given me a very unique edge, and ensured that I have holistic, well-engineered, results-focused processes and frameworks to lean on.
Hi, I'm Moe Hoteit, Mountain Adventurer and Founder of Peakology, a conscious leadership development platform.
I was born and raised in Beirut Lebanon in a very unstable environment where at any moment, you felt like a war could break out as it often did.Â
The country lacked real leadership and I, like many, had lived the consequences of toxic leadership for a big part of my life.
In my home life, my family lacked a father figure. My parents separated when I was 9 and my father disappeared out of our lives. I witnessed my mother, God bless her soul, carry the responsibility of two parents and raise 4 kids on her own.
My environment and life were filled with examples of  “how not to be a leader”.
I didn’t have much guidance growing up, I was forced to make big decisions from a young age.
At 17 years old, I made the biggest executive decision of my life to leave everything I had ever known behind me and take a leap of faith because I was just sick and tired of living my life in fear, hate and scarcity. I emigrated to the United States on my own with the hopes to have access to opportunities in a safer environment.
With immigration came a lot of uncertainty and self-doubt. I felt lost and felt like I didn’t belong.Â
Often, I’d pretend to be someone I’m not just to fit in and be accepted. I struggled a lot with my identity, especially as an Arab Muslim in America during a time where the western propaganda media machine constantly paints us terrorists.
Fast forward, I became an engineering graduate from the University of Michigan and a Product Leader in renewable green energy technologies. However, somewhere in this mix, I started feeling unfulfilled in the companies I was working at. So, I would often switch jobs and with every switch I climbed higher by title and compensation, but I kept experiencing this feeling of being unfulfilled because I was trying to fix my external environment thinking that's the key.
At 25, IÂ went into a business venture with a couple of close partners. The week before the grand opening, everything collapsed.
This left me with damaged personal relationships, a lot of debt and was without work for 6 months. I was living with extreme anxiety daily because the bills kept coming in and I had maxed out all my credit cards.
This event marked a pivotal moment in my life.
I started my journey of self-discovery to get absolute clarity on who I am, what I want, and why.Â
The more I focused on internal success through self-leadership and mastery, the more outward success and influence I achieved in every area of my life.
Since I grew up from a young age without a father, without guidance, without understanding my identity, without knowing what it means to really be a man, in an inauthentic world filled with masks and deception...I finally decided to become the father I never had and to help other men become conscious leaders and spiritual warriors for themselves and their communities.
Not having a father present left a huge hole in my life for a long time that I tried to fill with alcohol, drugs, weed, sex, money, etc.
Now I'm back home in my body, walking a path of purpose, service and mastery.
